"Rambling Mind" is a beautifully glitchy, cinematic breakbeat that drifts into focus with emotive piano and the kind of swirling ambient sound design you'd expect from Tipper. Sawicki's silky, yearning vocals add an evocative, space-age lounge air to the otherwise Jon Hopkins meets Hybrid vibes of the instrumental. When she starts to hurt at that hook, it hurts so good for all of us. This is catharsis. This is the glimmer of light in the darkness. This is Elba.
lyrics
I find I focus on things that don’t last
I try I try to grasp hold of that past
Holding a burden that I can’t control
She worn out and weary my wandering soul
Shake up the dust and beneath you will find
Chaos that’s left from a rambling mind
Sway me like the wind moves the trees
Close my eyes and I’ll bend with ease
Speak to me without your words
I’ll be your for now if you leave when it starts to hurt
Starts to hurt, starts to hurt
Starts to hurt, starts to hurt
Starts to hurt, starts to hurt
Starts to hurt
Shake up the dust and beneath you will find
Chaos that’s left from a rambling mind
Sway me like the wind moves the trees
Close my eyes and I’ll bend with ease
Speak to me without your words
I’ll be your for now if you leave when it starts to hurt
Starts to hurt, starts to hurt
Starts to hurt, starts to hurt
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Move through me, touch my limbs, feel the warmth, embrace the end
Elba is a collaboration between producer/engineer Dark Arps (Jon Bierman) and singer/songwriter amsii (Amber Sawicki).
Sawicki's orations elate the body and soul, while her lyrics tap into the zeitgeist of urban decay presently unfolding amidst late-stage capitalism. Her vision imbues Bierman's technically sophisticated techno-tinged breakbeats with an elevated pop sensibility....more

So fleeting, yet at the same time permanent, this is truly music for the digital age. A blistering follow up to the tour de force that was LokiSphere(Part One), Mr. Bierman goes from strength to strength in this dawless, songless, limitless jam series. Razor sharp melodies, tough basslines, chord stacked riffs, it bristles with both tension and optimism. 10/10. Bravo. D.A.O.C. Forever

This is an amazing example of the rich, organic, melodic possibilites of electronic music. One of the few artists I'm putting on the level of Emancipator in the genre. meatnordrink
